Inbox

Inbox is the other half of the email your app sends. When a customer replies to a sign-in code, a receipt or an announcement, the reply lands here — and your answer goes back out from your own sender, so the conversation stays in one place for both of you.

The walk

The room

  1. Open Inbox to see what customers have sent back: newest first, and the four states across the top — needs a reply, open, closed, everything.

One conversation

  1. Open a conversation to read it in the customer's own words, with a door to their profile beside it.

A new conversation

  1. Choose New conversation to write first — to anyone who has signed in to your app, picked by name rather than typed.

What it refuses and why

Inbox refuses by waiting rather than by answering: Send reply stays dark until there is something written, and the box for a new conversation stays shut until you've picked who it's to. An email can’t be unsent, so a half-written one is never sent.

How replies reach you, and what your app sends: Email.
