What happened

A refund is never made from a chat. The answer gives your human the exact steps: the amount, the customer and the payment in Stripe → Payments → Refund. Once Stripe confirms it, a full refund ends what the payment unlocked and takes back its credits; a part refund leaves what it unlocked in place and takes back its credits in proportion.
