What happened

g.collection(name) was given a name outside the grammar: lowercase letters, digits and underscores, starting with a letter, 2 to 63 characters (tasks, user_notes). Thrown synchronously, before any request exists, and the message echoes what it was given. A name that is legal but has no collection behind it is a different code (unknown_collection, 404).
